As a PhD-holding phytopathologist, he is a scientist by conviction and has been the managing partner of IDENTXX GmbH since 2009.
In this role, he is responsible for the company's financial and technical organization. Laboratory work is also an important part of his role.
He earned his doctorate through a collaborative project between the University of Hohenheim and the State Viticultural Institute of Freiburg. At the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture, working in the field of plant protection, he furthered his passion for the field-based application of molecular detection systems. At IDENTXX, he is responsible for all phytopathological issues.
After completing his doctorate at the University of Hohenheim, he worked at the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre in Frankfurt am Main before joining IDENTXX GmbH.
As a passionate molecular biologist, he is responsible for all matters relating to herbicide resistance.
