Herbology - field herbs

Herbology - field herbs

In modern agriculture systems, weeds have become an important productive parameter.
For agricultural practice as well as research, knowledge about the resistance of the accompanying flora to herbicidal active substances is of particular importance. IDENTXX GmbH therefore offers established analytical methods for resistance analysis.

Molecular resistance analysis

Small cause, big effect! Through selection, populations of herbicide-resistant non-crop plants can become established in the field.

Therefore, use our unique analysis offer to determine the target site resistance (TSR) of e.g. ALS and ACCase inhibitors.

Resistance analysis in the greenhouse

For the evaluation of complex metabolic resistance (nTSR), biotest-based analysis in the greenhouse is suitable.

Therefore, use our unique analysis offer to determine the target site resistance (TSR) of e.g. ALS and ACCase inhibitors.

TSR analysis

Target-site resistance (TSR) is due to genetic variations of the target protein. In these variations, individual genetic components, the nucleoids, deviate from the sensitive wild type. This change leads to an alternative protein to which the herbicide can attack less effectively or not at all, and thus the herbicidal effect is missed.

With the IDENTXX molecular resistance analysis, you can obtain information about the resistance status of your accompanying plants easily, quickly, and reliably.

Resistance analysis in the greenhouse

Several metabolic pathways are involved in metabolic resistance (nTSR) of undesirable plants. Currently, there are no reliable molecular markers that make this type of resistance analytically accessible in the same way as target site resistance (TSR). To assess whether metabolic resistance is present, screening under controlled conditions is necessary.

IDENTXX offers high-quality greenhouse biotests in cooperation with two contractual partners.
